Ridgway Colorado – September 2005

I spent a cold, dark night in the National forest; in fact it was raining so hard I just slept in the back of my truck.  When my alarm went off early in the morning, I decided to ignore it since I didn’t sleep so well.  After all, it was still raining and it seemed like the sun wasn’t going to peak through the clouds.  About twenty minutes later my stomach began to talk to me and I all I could think about was a hot breakfast in town.  When I got out of my truck I discovered it wasn’t raining – the trees were just dripping, and it wasn’t dark – I forgot my windows were tinted.  I was very fortunate to catch the light, the fog, and the fresh dusting on Mt. Sneffles.
